How Much Does a Mobile Vet Cost in Miami-Dade?
If you are thinking about a mobile vet in Miami-Dade, the first question is usually simple: how much will it cost? This guide explains exactly how pricing works at Concierge PetVet, a mobile vet practice led by Dr. Nicole Chavarry, DVM, so you know what to expect before you book.
The short answer
A standard home visit starts at $160 if you live within 7 miles of Palmetto Bay. That covers the house call, the exam and the medical-waste fee. Anything your pet needs beyond the exam, like vaccines or bloodwork, is quoted and approved by you before we do it.
How a mobile vet visit is priced
Every visit has three parts:
House-call fee: based on your distance from our Palmetto Bay base (see the zones below). One fee covers the whole home.
Exam fee: $75 for a standard exam, or $100 for an emergency or urgent exam with same-day priority.
Medical-waste fee: $10.

A wellness visit for one dog in Pinecrest: $75 house call + $75 exam + $10 medical waste = $160. If your dog also needs two vaccines at $40 each, the total would be $240. You approve the vaccines before the visit continues.
Example: two cats, Zone 2
A visit for two cats in South Miami: $100 house call + $75 exam for the first cat + $60 for the second cat ($15 off) + $10 medical waste = $245, with one house-call fee for both.
Is a mobile vet worth it?
For many families, yes. There is no car ride, no crowded waiting room, and no stress from other animals, which matters most for anxious, senior or mobility-limited pets. A calmer pet also gives a more accurate exam. And with several pets, one house-call fee covers everyone.
What's always included
A 30–45 minute exam, travel within the service area, vet tech support, a same-day phone follow-up, and digital records. Prices in this article reflect our current pricing; your exact quote is always confirmed before the visit.
Mobile vet cost questions
How much does a mobile vet cost in Miami?
At Concierge PetVet, a home visit starts at $160 in Zone 1 (within 7 miles of Palmetto Bay): a $75 house-call fee, a $75 exam and a $10 medical-waste fee. Zone 2 starts at $185 and Zone 3 at $235.
Is a mobile vet more expensive than a clinic?
The main extra cost is the house-call fee, which covers the vet coming to your home. Many families find it worth it for anxious, senior or multi-pet households, since there is no car ride or waiting room, and one house-call fee covers every pet in the home.
Do I pay a house-call fee for each pet?
No. One house-call fee covers the whole home. Each pet gets its own exam, and additional pets get $15 off their exam fee.
What does an urgent mobile vet visit cost?
An emergency or urgent exam is $100 instead of the standard $75, with same-day priority when the schedule allows. The house-call fee for your zone still applies.
Does pet insurance cover a mobile vet?
Concierge PetVet provides itemized invoices that work with major carriers such as Trupanion, Healthy Paws, Embrace and Nationwide. You pay at the time of service, and your provider reimburses you.
